About Calamust Lotion
Calamust Lotion combines three classic dermatological actives: Calamine, Liquid Paraffin and Aloe Vera. The combination provides immediate cooling and itch relief, skin barrier support, and anti-inflammatory soothing — ideal for itchy rashes, prickly heat (miliaria), sunburn, insect bites, mild eczema and post-procedural skin care.
Calamine (zinc oxide + ferric oxide) provides cooling, mild astringent and protective action on inflamed skin. Liquid Paraffin emolliates the stratum corneum and prevents transepidermal water loss. Aloe Vera adds polysaccharide-driven soothing, anti-inflammatory and wound-healing support. Together they form one of the best-tolerated multi-purpose dermatological lotions.
Calamust is manufactured by Trumac Healthcare under WHO-GMP conditions. Available for monopoly-based PCD pharma franchise and third-party manufacturing — a high-volume retail-pharmacy SKU.
Indications
- Itchy rashes, prickly heat (miliaria) and heat rash
- Sunburn relief
- Insect bites and stings
- Mild eczema and atopic dermatitis (adjunct)
- Allergic contact dermatitis (initial soothing)
- Post-procedural skin soothing
Mechanism of Action
Calamine's zinc oxide provides mild astringent and protective action by forming a thin barrier over inflamed skin. Liquid Paraffin acts as an occlusive emollient, reducing transepidermal water loss. Aloe Vera polysaccharides bind moisture and modulate inflammatory mediators (COX-2 inhibition, cytokine modulation) for soothing effect.
