About Canbec-B Cream
Canbec-B Cream combines Beclometasone 0.025% (a moderate-potency topical corticosteroid) with Clotrimazole 1% (a broad-spectrum imidazole antifungal) in a topical cream base. It is indicated for inflammatory dermatophyte and yeast infections — particularly tinea cruris, tinea corporis and intertrigo with associated itch and erythema.
The topical steroid provides rapid anti-inflammatory and anti-pruritic relief, while Clotrimazole addresses the underlying fungal infection. This combination is most appropriate for short-term initial control of inflammatory fungal lesions, transitioning to plain Clotrimazole monotherapy once the inflammatory component subsides.

Mechanism of Action
Beclometasone is a topical glucocorticoid that binds intracellular receptors, suppressing pro-inflammatory cytokines and reducing erythema, oedema and pruritus. Clotrimazole inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis in fungal cell membranes, producing fungistatic/fungicidal action against dermatophytes (Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton) and yeasts (Candida).
Dosage & Administration
Apply a thin layer to affected area twice daily for 1–2 weeks, then continue with plain antifungal for further 2–4 weeks. Avoid prolonged use, especially on face, groin and flexures.
Side Effects
Local burning, itching, mild irritation. With prolonged use of steroid component: skin atrophy, telangiectasia, hypopigmentation, striae. Tinea incognito if used long-term on undiagnosed fungal infection.

Hypersensitivity. Viral skin infections (herpes simplex, varicella). Bacterial skin infections. Use on face, groin or flexures for prolonged periods. Children (caution).
