Mechanism of Action
Trypsin and Chymotrypsin are serine endopeptidases of pancreatic origin. After enteric absorption they bind alpha-2 macroglobulin in the plasma and are carried to inflammatory sites where they cleave peptide bonds in fibrin, exudative proteins and necrotic debris. By breaking down inflammatory mediators they reduce vascular permeability, oedema and tissue induration — accelerating resolution of swelling and ecchymosis.
Dosage & Administration
- Adults: 1 tablet 2–3 times daily, half an hour before meals
- Swallow whole with water — do not crush
- Continue for 5–10 days as advised
- Discontinue if rash or bleeding occurs
