About Ticaron-60 Tablet
Ticaron-60 Tablet contains Ticagrelor 60 mg. Ticagrelor is a cyclopentyltriazolopyrimidine P2Y12 inhibitor — directly active (no metabolic activation needed) and reversibly bound, providing faster and more consistent platelet inhibition than clopidogrel.
Indicated for prevention of atherothrombotic events in acute coronary syndrome (PLATO trial — reduced CV death and MI vs clopidogrel) and long-term post-MI prevention (PEGASUS trial).

Indications
- Acute coronary syndrome (STEMI/NSTEMI) with PCI or medical management
- Long-term post-MI atherothrombotic event prevention

Mechanism of Action
Ticagrelor reversibly binds the P2Y12 ADP receptor on platelets at a different site than thienopyridines, blocking ADP-mediated platelet activation. Faster onset, stronger and more consistent inhibition, with reversibility allowing faster recovery before surgery.
