About Labetor-100 Tablet
Labetor-100 Tablet provides Labetalol 100 mg orally — preferred first-line antihypertensive in pregnancy. Standard initial dose in chronic hypertension of pregnancy, gestational hypertension and mild pre-eclampsia.

Mechanism of Action
Labetalol is a combined non-selective beta-blocker (β1 and β2) with selective alpha-1 blocker activity (β:α ratio about 3:1 oral, 7:1 IV). Lowers BP without reflex tachycardia. Safe in pregnancy — first-line for hypertensive emergencies in pregnancy and pheochromocytoma pre-op.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 100 mg twice daily, titrate weekly up to 200–400 mg three times daily.
Side Effects
Postural dizziness, fatigue, scalp tingling, mild bradycardia, mild bronchospasm.
Contraindications & Precautions
Asthma, COPD with bronchospasm, severe bradycardia, heart block (>1st degree), uncompensated CHF.
