About Ciliron-5 Tablet
Ciliron-5 Tablet contains Cilnidipine 5 mg — newer dihydropyridine CCB with N-type calcium channel blockade. Less peripheral oedema and reflex tachycardia than Amlodipine.

Indications
- Hypertension (with reduced oedema risk)
- Diabetic hypertension (renoprotective)
- Hypertension with reflex tachycardia
Mechanism of Action
Cilnidipine is fourth-generation CCB with both L-type and N-type calcium channel blockade — N-type blockade reduces sympathetic outflow. Less peripheral oedema and reflex tachycardia than Amlodipine. Renoprotective in diabetic nephropathy.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 5–10 mg once daily.
Side Effects
Mild peripheral oedema (less than Amlodipine), flushing, headache, palpitations (less than other CCBs).
Contraindications & Precautions
Severe hypotension, severe aortic stenosis, pregnancy.
