About Carbizoid-20 Tablet
Carbizoid-20 Tablet contains the high-strength dose of Carbimazole 20 mg, used for severe hyperthyroidism, thyroid storm preparation and rapid pre-radioiodine or preoperative control. The single-tablet 20 mg dose reduces pill burden during the induction phase.
Carbimazole rapidly converts to methimazole, blocking thyroid peroxidase and halting new thyroid hormone synthesis. High-dose induction (40 mg/day) is typically used for 2–4 weeks before stepping down to maintenance.
