Mechanism of Action
Repaglinide is a meglitinide insulin secretagogue. It closes pancreatic beta-cell ATP-sensitive K+ channels (binding a different site than sulphonylureas), depolarising the cell and triggering insulin secretion. Short half-life produces a rapid, post-prandial insulin spike — useful for control of postprandial hyperglycaemia.
Dosage & Administration
