About Trutam-F Tablet
Trutam-F Tablet combines Tamsulosin with Finasteride 5 mg — economical BPH combination. Finasteride is selective 5-alpha reductase type 2 inhibitor.

Mechanism of Action
Tamsulosin is a uroselective alpha-1A adrenergic antagonist — relaxes prostatic smooth muscle relieving urinary obstruction in BPH. Higher selectivity for prostatic alpha-1A than vascular alpha-1B = less hypotension than older alpha-blockers. Finasteride is type 2 5-alpha reductase inhibitor.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 tablet once daily.
Side Effects
Retrograde ejaculation, orthostatic hypotension (less than terazosin/doxazosin), dizziness, rhinitis, intraoperative floppy iris syndrome. Sexual dysfunction (Finasteride).
Contraindications & Precautions
Severe hepatic impairment, history of orthostatic hypotension. Women, children.
