About Eraset Cream
Eraset Cream contains Sertaconazole Nitrate 2.0%, a unique imidazole-benzothiophene topical antifungal. The benzothiophene moiety provides additional intrinsic anti-inflammatory and anti-pruritic activity not seen with other azoles.
It is indicated for tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea pedis, tinea versicolor and cutaneous candidiasis. Sertaconazole’s dual fungicidal/anti-inflammatory action provides faster symptomatic relief than other topical azoles.

Mechanism of Action
Sertaconazole is an imidazole with two complementary mechanisms: at therapeutic doses it inhibits fungal 14-α-demethylase to deplete ergosterol; at higher doses the benzothiophene ring causes direct membrane disruption. It also intrinsically inhibits cytokine release from keratinocytes, providing anti-inflammatory effect.
