About Ranzolin-500 ER Tablet
Ranzolin-500 ER Tablet contains Ranolazine 500 mg ER — for chronic stable angina unresponsive to or as adjunct to beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers, and nitrates. Provides anti-anginal effect without lowering heart rate or BP — useful in patients with hypotension or bradycardia.

Mechanism of Action
Ranolazine is a piperazine derivative that inhibits late sodium current in cardiac muscle — reducing sodium-induced calcium overload, improving diastolic function and reducing myocardial oxygen demand. Used for chronic stable angina unresponsive to other anti-anginals.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 500 mg twice daily, may increase to 1000 mg twice daily.

Dizziness, constipation, headache, nausea, QT prolongation (monitor in cardiac patients).

Severe hepatic impairment, on strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (ketoconazole, clarithromycin), prolonged QT, on QT-prolonging drugs.
