About Ranomac-1000 ER Tablet
Ranomac-1000 ER Tablet contains Ranolazine 1000 mg in extended-release form. Ranolazine is a unique anti-anginal that works without significantly affecting heart rate or blood pressure — making it suited for patients with normal HR/BP who still have refractory angina.
Indicated for chronic stable angina, particularly as add-on therapy in patients on optimal beta-blocker/calcium-channel-blocker therapy with persistent symptoms (MERLIN-TIMI 36 trial).

Mechanism of Action
Ranolazine selectively inhibits the late sodium current in cardiomyocytes. Reduction of intracellular sodium reduces calcium overload during diastole, decreasing ventricular wall tension and improving myocardial perfusion. Unlike other anti-anginals, it does not significantly reduce HR or BP.
