About Razium-20 Tablet
Razium-20 Tablet provides Rabeprazole 20 mg — newer PPI with faster onset and less CYP2C19 dependence than Omeprazole/Esomeprazole. Standard healing dose for GERD with esophagitis and peptic ulcer disease.

Indications

Mechanism of Action
Rabeprazole irreversibly inhibits gastric H+/K+ ATPase (proton pump) — markedly suppressing both basal and stimulated acid secretion. Faster onset (within 1 hour) and less CYP2C19 dependence than Omeprazole.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 20 mg once daily 30 minutes before breakfast, 4–8 weeks.
Side Effects
Headache, diarrhoea, abdominal pain. Long-term: B12 deficiency, hypomagnesaemia, fracture risk, C. difficile colitis.
Contraindications & Precautions
Hypersensitivity. Caution in severe hepatic impairment.
