About Pilobar Cream
Pilobar Cream combines Phenylephrine (vasoconstrictor) with Beclomethasone (steroid) — for haemorrhoids, anal fissures, and post-haemorrhoidectomy pain. Vasoconstriction reduces swelling, steroid reduces inflammation and itching.

Mechanism of Action
Phenylephrine is alpha-1 adrenergic agonist causing local vasoconstriction — reduces haemorrhoidal swelling. Beclomethasone is potent topical corticosteroid suppressing local inflammation and pruritus.
Dosage & Administration
Apply to affected area twice daily after defaecation. Maximum 7 days continuous use to avoid steroid atrophy.
Side Effects
Local irritation, prolonged use causes skin atrophy, hyperpigmentation.
Contraindications & Precautions
Hypersensitivity, anal infection (fungal/bacterial), prolonged use, large open wounds.
