About Trucold Tablet
Trucold Tablet is a low-dose paediatric anti-cold combination containing Paracetamol 125 mg as antipyretic-analgesic, Phenylephrine HCl 2.5 mg as a nasal decongestant and Chlorpheniramine Maleate 1 mg as a first-generation antihistamine.
The formulation is designed for symptomatic relief of common cold, allergic rhinitis, sinus congestion, low-grade fever, headache and body ache in children and adults who prefer a lower-strength combination.

Mechanism of Action
Paracetamol works centrally to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis, reducing fever and pain. Phenylephrine is a selective alpha-1 adrenergic agonist that constricts dilated nasal blood vessels, reducing mucosal swelling and relieving nasal blockage. Chlorpheniramine is a sedating H1-receptor antagonist that dries up secretions, suppresses sneezing and controls watery discharge of allergic rhinitis.
