About Camicold Drops
Camicold Drops is the paediatric drop formulation for the symptomatic relief of cold and flu in infants and young children. Each ml contains Paracetamol 125 mg, Phenylephrine 2.5 mg and Chlorpheniramine Maleate (CPM) 1 mg — addressing fever, nasal congestion and rhinitis/sneezing in age-appropriate doses with accurate dropper-based delivery.
Paracetamol provides safe and effective antipyresis and mild analgesia in infants. Phenylephrine reduces nasal mucosal congestion. CPM is a first-generation antihistamine widely used in paediatric anti-cold formulations for its antimucosal drying effect. Accurate dosing by weight is essential in this age group, supported by the calibrated dropper.
Camicold Drops are manufactured by Trumac Healthcare under WHO-GMP conditions. Available for monopoly-based PCD pharma franchise and third-party manufacturing — a high-velocity paediatric SKU.
Indications
- Common cold and flu in infants and toddlers (with paediatric supervision)
- Fever with mild aches associated with viral URI
- Nasal congestion in young children
- Rhinitis and sneezing in early childhood
Mechanism of Action
Paracetamol inhibits central cyclooxygenase, lowering hypothalamic temperature set-point. Phenylephrine activates alpha-1 receptors in nasal mucosal vessels for vasoconstriction. CPM (chlorpheniramine) blocks H1 receptors, controlling histamine-mediated symptoms.

Infants up to 1 year: 0.6–1 ml three times daily. Children 1–3 years: 1–1.5 ml three times daily. Always use the calibrated dropper. As advised by paediatrician.
Side Effects
Drowsiness (CPM), nausea, dry mouth, occasional irritability. Rare: hypersensitivity, paradoxical excitation in young children (CPM).
