About Glucim-M4 Forte SR Tablet
Glucim-M4 Forte SR Tablet contains Metformin HCl 1000 mg + Glimepiride 4 mg (Bilayered Tablet). The combination of high-dose Metformin and Glimepiride provides robust glycaemic control for type-2 diabetes inadequately managed on lower-strength preparations.
It is indicated for adults with type-2 DM who need glycaemic intensification while still on oral therapy.

Mechanism of Action
Metformin activates AMPK, suppressing hepatic glucose output and improving peripheral insulin sensitivity. Glimepiride closes ATP-sensitive K+ channels on pancreatic beta cells, triggering insulin secretion. The combination addresses both insulin resistance and inadequate insulin secretion.
