About Lymexin-408 Capsule
Lymexin-408 Capsule contains Lymecycline 408 mg, a second-generation tetracycline derivative. The 408 mg dose corresponds to 300 mg tetracycline base. Lymecycline has better absorption and tolerability than older tetracyclines and is widely used in dermatology.
It is indicated for moderate-to-severe acne vulgaris, papulopustular rosacea, perioral dermatitis and certain other infections caused by tetracycline-sensitive organisms.

Mechanism of Action
Lymecycline inhibits bacterial 30S ribosomal protein synthesis. In acne, its benefit extends beyond pure antibacterial action against Cutibacterium acnes to include anti-inflammatory effects (inhibition of neutrophil chemotaxis, matrix metalloproteinase suppression and reduction of free fatty acid generation from sebum lipolysis).
