About Noxirut-8 Tablet

Mechanism of Action
Lornoxicam is a potent oxicam-class NSAID — non-selective COX-1/COX-2 inhibitor with strong analgesic and anti-inflammatory action. Shorter half-life (~4 hours) than other oxicams allowing dose flexibility. Comparable efficacy to opioid analgesics for post-operative pain.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 8 mg twice daily; can be up to 16 mg daily.

GI upset, peptic ulcer, fluid retention, hepatic and renal effects. Higher GI toxicity than COX-2 selective.

Active peptic ulcer, severe heart failure, third trimester pregnancy, severe renal/hepatic impairment, aspirin-sensitive asthma.
