About Ketorut Tablet

Mechanism of Action
Ketorolac is a potent non-selective NSAID with primarily analgesic action (similar to opioid efficacy for short-term acute pain). Inhibits COX-1/COX-2 reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Restricted to ≤5 days use due to high GI/renal toxicity vs other NSAIDs.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 10 mg every 4–6 hours. Maximum 5 days (combined IV+oral). Maximum 40 mg/day.

GI upset, ulceration, AKI risk, hypertension. Higher GI toxicity than other oral NSAIDs.
