About Lumaskin Cream
Lumaskin Cream is the gold-standard prescription depigmenting combination — Modified Kligman’s Formula — containing Hydroquinone 4% w/w (tyrosinase inhibitor), Tretinoin 0.05% w/w (retinoid promoting cell turnover) and Fluocinolone Acetonide 0.01% w/w (mild steroid to reduce irritation).
It is indicated for moderate-to-severe melasma, recalcitrant post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and stubborn pigmentary disorders. Short-course use only (max 8 weeks continuous) due to hydroquinone risks with prolonged use.

Mechanism of Action
Hydroquinone competitively inhibits tyrosinase, blocking conversion of tyrosine to DOPA — the rate-limiting step in melanin synthesis. Tretinoin (all-trans retinoic acid) promotes keratinocyte turnover, allowing pigmented cells to shed and enhancing penetration of hydroquinone. Fluocinolone Acetonide is a mild corticosteroid that reduces retinoid-induced irritation and inflammation, allowing better tolerance.
