About Fintes-1 Tablet

Fintes-1 Tablet contains Finasteride 1 mg, a selective inhibitor of type-II 5-alpha reductase. The 1 mg dose is the standard strength for male pattern hair loss (androgenetic alopecia).

It is indicated in adult men 18 years and older for the treatment of male pattern hair loss (vertex and anterior mid-scalp areas). Visible improvement requires at least 3 months of daily use; continuous treatment is needed to maintain benefit.

Mechanism of Action

Finasteride competitively inhibits the type-II isoenzyme of 5-alpha reductase, blocking conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is the key androgen driving miniaturisation of scalp hair follicles in genetically susceptible men. Suppressing DHT slows progression and partially reverses hair loss in 65–90% of treated men.

Dosage & Administration
