About Donewise-5 Tablet
Donewise-5 Tablet contains Donepezil 5 mg — a reversible cholinesterase inhibitor used for the treatment of mild-to-moderate (and moderate-to-severe) Alzheimer’s disease. Donepezil increases acetylcholine availability in brain regions affected by Alzheimer’s pathology, providing modest improvement in cognition and activities of daily living.
The 5 mg dose is the standard starting dose for 4–6 weeks, then increased to 10 mg if tolerated. Effects are symptomatic — the underlying neurodegeneration continues, but symptom control can be valuable for patients and families.

Mechanism of Action

GI upset (nausea, diarrhoea, anorexia), bradycardia, syncope, insomnia, vivid dreams. Rare: peptic ulcer, seizures.
Contraindications & Precautions
Hypersensitivity. Severe bradycardia. Sick sinus syndrome. Concurrent CYP3A4 inhibitors (caution).
