About Dapavate-10 Tablet
Dapavate-10 Tablet contains Dapagliflozin 10 mg — a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor that blocks renal glucose reabsorption, producing glucosuria and blood-glucose lowering. Beyond diabetes management, SGLT2 inhibitors have transformed heart-failure care with documented mortality reduction in HFrEF and HFpEF.
Indicated for type 2 diabetes mellitus, heart failure (with or without diabetes), and chronic kidney disease (with or without diabetes). The cardiovascular and renal benefits extend well beyond glycaemic control.

Indications

Mechanism of Action
Dapagliflozin selectively inhibits SGLT2 in the proximal renal tubule, reducing glucose reabsorption and producing glucosuria of ~70 g/day. Additional cardiovascular benefits via natriuresis, blood pressure reduction, weight loss and direct cardiac effects.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 10 mg once daily. May be taken any time of day with or without food. Adjust in renal impairment.
Side Effects
Genital mycotic infections, UTI, hypotension, ketoacidosis (rare in T2DM), hypoglycaemia when combined with insulin/sulphonylureas.
Contraindications & Precautions
Type 1 diabetes. Severe renal impairment (eGFR <25). Volume depletion. Pregnancy. History of diabetic ketoacidosis.
