About Tclop-ASP Capsule

Mechanism of Action
Clopidogrel is a thienopyridine antiplatelet — irreversibly blocks platelet P2Y12 ADP receptor preventing platelet aggregation. CYP2C19-dependent activation (poor metabolizers have reduced efficacy). Aspirin irreversibly inhibits platelet COX-1 — dual antiplatelet provides synergistic prevention of thrombotic events.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 capsule once daily after food.
Side Effects
Bleeding, bruising, GI upset, rash, rare TTP. GI bleeding, peptic ulcer (aspirin).
Contraindications & Precautions
Active bleeding, severe hepatic impairment, CYP2C19 poor metabolizers (reduced efficacy). Active GI bleed, recent haemorrhagic stroke.
