About Tarolic-100 Tablet
Tarolic-100 Tablet contains Allopurinol 100 mg — starting dose for chronic gout management. Inhibits xanthine oxidase reducing uric acid production. Standard maintenance 300 mg/day.

Mechanism of Action

Side Effects
Rash (severe Stevens-Johnson risk especially HLA-B*5801 carriers in Asian populations — pre-test recommended), hepatic enzyme elevation, hypersensitivity.
Contraindications & Precautions
Hypersensitivity, HLA-B*5801 positive (consider Febuxostat alternative), acute gout flare (don't start during flare).
