Mechanism of Action
Aceclofenac is a non-selective COX-1/COX-2 inhibitor NSAID — better GI tolerance than diclofenac. Anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic action. Diacerein is slow-acting anti-osteoarthritic — inhibits IL-1β signaling, disease-modifying potential.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 1 tablet twice daily after meals.
Side Effects
GI upset, dyspepsia, peptic ulcer (less than diclofenac), fluid retention, hypertension, transaminase elevation. Diarrhoea (Diacerein), urine discolouration.
Contraindications & Precautions
Active peptic ulcer, severe heart failure, third trimester pregnancy, severe renal/hepatic impairment, aspirin-sensitive asthma. Severe hepatic disease, IBD.
