Mechanism of Action

- Children 6–12 years: 5 ml three times daily.
- Adults: 10 ml three times daily.
Side Effects
- Tremor, palpitations (Terbutaline), nausea, headache.
- Less commonly: muscle cramps, hypokalaemia with high doses.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity.
- Tachyarrhythmias.
- Severe hypertension.
- Concurrent MAOI use.
- Pregnancy (caution).
